Disney just announced that they will be retiring their FastPass System and replacing it with a multi-tiered Genie Service designed to enhance the guest experience at both Disney World and Disneyland! This new Genie service will debut this Fall and will be a complimentary and convenient new digital service designed to help you create your best Disney Day!
This service will be built into your existing My Disney Experience App, and will help you create your own personalized itinerary that will help you plan your entire day from attractions, experiences, entertainment, and dining! Just make a wish and the Genie will start the planning for you.
Guests will receive complimentary updates, be able fo find their favorites with an instant tip board and forecasted wait times, as well as enabling guests to join virtual queues, make dining and experience reservations, mobile order food, and receive virtual assistant planning services. Additional features will also be available within the app.
The second tier of this service will be the Disney Genie + Service. This service will be $15 per ticket, per day, at the Walt Disney World Resort and $20 per day, per ticket at the Disneyland Resort and will enable guests to create “ride reservations” for the next available time to arrive at an attraction or experience. Guests will be able to book these ride reservations one ride at a time, with the ability to book additional reservations after each use-subject to availability. Not to worry, if you don’t mind waiting in line-standby lines will still be available!
The third tier of service being offered will be Lightning Lanes. These are individual attraction selections available for purchase for the most sought after attractions in each park. This will enable guests to have VIP or immediate access to the popular attractions. Guests will be allowed to purchase two of these Lightning Lane passes each day. Pricing will be driven by demand and will vary by the attraction and it’s popularity each day . Pricing for this service will be announced closer to the launch of the new Disney Genie. Some of the attractions that might be included in this service will be:
Magic Kingdom- Space Mountain and Seven Dwarves Mine Train
Epcot-Test Track and Ratatouille
Hollywood Studios-Rise of the Resistance and Slinky Dog Dash
Animal Kingdom-Flight of Passage and the Kilimanjaro Safari
